A chemical indicator should be used in each sterilization package to control whether the steam penetrates the packaged material and reaches the surgical instruments inside.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>These are indicators that operate in the parameters of 134\u02daC \u2013 3,5 minutes and 121\u00b0C \u2013 15 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The contents of each package must be exposed to several critical parameters of the sterilization process. These critical parameters for steam are; saturated vapor, time and temperature.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>They can be used in all steam sterilizers.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>When the specified parameters are met, the indicator changes to the reference color and the indicator retains the result color for at least 6 months.
